The Stealth ShadowVault SV1 Pistol Safe is incredibly unique as it is built on the same platform as the Stealth Heavy Duty Simplex Pistol Safe but now has a High Security Electronic Lock. In addition to the lock upgrade, the safe has a hard-plate in-between the lock body and the 3/16" door as well as hardplate on the door side. The lock is encased in a steel housing and the latch drops into a steel housing as well. We can confidently say this is the most secure and highest quality pistol safe that has ever been built.

Other unique features about the Stealth ShadowVault SV1 Pistol Safe include a 300% thicker steel door than the industry average. It is a 3/16" (7 gauge) solid steel wrap-around door. The door overlaps the body by 1-1/4" providing maximum drill protection. Most handgun safes on the market feature 1/16" thick (16 gauge) steel.

The body on the Stealth ShadowVault SV1 Pistol Safe is a 233% thicker steel body than the industry average. The body is a 9/64" (10 gauge) solid steel body. The industry average for most handgun safes on the market is 1/16" thick (16 gauge). 

One of the best features of the Stealth ShadowVault SV1 Pistol Safe is the lock. It is a high security Electronic Lock - S&G Spartan Direct-Drive Low Profile Deadbolt Lock with Black Platinum Finish. The lock is UL rated Type 1 High Security and is bump/bounce proof. It is also EMP rated. A silent mode allows you to silence the keypad so you can secretly access your weapon in the event of an emergency. 

Another nice feature on the Stealth ShadowVault SV1 Pistol Safe is the 15-minute lockout mode after 4 wrong attempts. This means if someone is trying to guess your combination, it will keep locking them out, frustrating any would-be burglar.  If someone were to try all the possibilities, it would take them 27 years. If they tried it on a Simplex lock, it would only take 2 hours. You can enable a silent mode which disables the beeping for stealth access. If you need to gain access to your pistol in an emergency, you don't want someone to hear where you are. Stealth mode is perfect for these scenarios. 

The extra hardplate in-between the lock latch on the Stealth ShadowVault SV1 Pistol Safe increases the drill time by 200%. Same thing with the hardplate in-between the body and lock latch. There is a punch resistant steel housing encasing the lock on the door side, and lock latch on the body side. A stainless steel strike plate protects the paint and provides smooth closure.

The two 3/8" steel hooks lock under the hinges to prevent someone from prying the door open. The two deadbars are bolted together to reinforce the piano hinge. The hinge is also continuously welded as well. There are 4 pre-drilled mounting holes to bolt to a solid surface (highly recommended). It also comes with concrete bolt anchors.

Even with all the extra steel added to the Stealth ShadowVault SV1 Pistol Safe, the safe is still light enough to carry around if needed. It weighs 22 pounds.
