The FireKing 2-2130-2 Two-Hour Vertical Fire File Cabinet is made from solid steel panels surrounded by an under layer of galvanized steel wire to give add protection as well as the Thermocell II proprietary insulation. This form of construction adds durability and durability in impact and explosion tests as well as superior fire protection. The steel panels are replaceable and can be easily installed if one of the panels happens to be damaged. They tested the fire resistance by placing the cabinet in a burn chamber where external temperatures exceeded 1700 degrees. The inside temperature never rose above 350 degrees.
