It has a standard 350-degree 90-minute fire rating which means the safe can withstand extreme temperatures and maintain an internal temperature of 350 degrees for 90 minutes. It also has the added benefit of being impact-resistant. If the safe were to fall through a floor that has been weakened by fire it will not break open. It can also withstand blows from a sledgehammer as well. The UL impact test calls for the safe to be heated to 1550 degrees F for 30 minutes then dropped onto concrete rubble from a height of 30 feet. The safe is then reheated and dropped again and the safe must maintain the contents in both drops, and the contents must remain undamaged.
