To prevent mold from growing, you need something like the Lockdown 12" Gun Safe Dehumidifier Road that dries up to approximately 100 cubic feet. It is designed to eliminate musty smells, and dampness and prevent mold inside your safe.
How does the Lockdown 12" Gun Safe Dehumidifier Rod work? It works by slightly increasing and maintaining air temperature inside the gun safe or other enclosures. Doing this allows warm air to circulate throughout the safe preventing moisture issues before they arise.
Is it easy to install the Lockdown 12" Gun Safe Dehumidifier? We think it's a simple install for anyone to do. Just place it horizontally at the bottom of your safe and use the provided mounting brackets and screws (included) to secure it. For best results, mount it on the side wall 6-8" from the floor.
Another great benefit is that it comes with the plug disconnected so that you are able to feed the wire through the hole in your safe. The cord is 6 feet so make sure your safe is close to an outlet and you have enough room to plug it in.
